YAT Commander: Our operations continue till eradicating ISIS influence 

The Special Operations of Anti-Terrorism Units YAT continues in al-Hol camp 45 km east of al-Hasakah city, despite the end of the first phase of the "Humanity and Security" campaign last Friday, which was launched by the Internal Security Forces in NE, Syria on the 28th of last March.

"Humanity and Security" campaign has continued for 5 days in a row, the declaration of its ending came during press conference held by Internal Security Forces, saying" this campaign achieved its purpose through searching, investigations and confirming the identity of refugees and registering their data.

In the context of the continuation of the special operations of Anti- Terrorism Units, their importance and necessity after the recent completion of the expanded security operation in al-Hol camp, ANHA's correspondent met with member of the General Command of Anti-Terrorism Units, YAT Deniz Çiya during his participation in an operation inside the camp last night.

Commander Deniz Çiya said at the beginning of his speech to ANHA agency: "The Humanity and Security campaign was important and necessary due to the killings and intimidation the camp witnessed, and large ISIS cells began to form in it, and what the camp witnessed in terms of killings, assassinations and the spread of the extremist ISIS ideology, and we were able in the first stage of arrest a lot of these are terrorists. "

Added" As for the special operations we are currently doing, they come in the coordination with the public security services inside the camp, depending on information we get by detainees those who have been arrested in the first stage of the campaign.

The forces participating in the "Humanity and Security" campaign arrested 125 ISIS cell mercenaries in the camp, as indicated by the statement of the Internal Security Forces in NE, Syria during the end of the first phase of the campaign.

Deniz Çiya indicated that these special operations carried out by their units after the end of the first phase resulted in the arrest of 17 other ISIS mercenaries, who were moving as ISIS cells inside the camp, and that there are many other targets that will be targeted based on this information.

He said, "As you know, these cells are a network interconnected with each other, and the majority of those responsible for these cells are in the grip of our security forces and our units, and currently the remaining mercenaries of these cells are being arrested, and operations against them are continuing."

Deniz Çiya noted that the investigation process with the officials of these cells continues, and that these investigations will lead to more important information that requires action for it, stressing that their units will move if need be, and that their move depends on the results of these investigations.

He said: "There are mercenaries still moving in and outside the camp, and we are working to establish their points based on the results of the investigations, as well as there are missing residents of the camp, and also the weapons are still hidden, and we will act according to any new information, and the features of all this may become clear in the special operations that they carry out by our forces. "

He added, "Yesterday we found some bodies of those who had been killed in the sewage pits, and we exhumed them, based on the information we got about where the terrorists had hidden the bodies of those who killed them in the camp."

Al-Hol camp is one of the most dangerous camps in the world, and is described as a time bomb, or ISIS state, due to the presence of more than 60,000 ISIS families among "Syrians, Iraqis, and foreigners" in it.

Member of the General Command of the Anti-Terrorism Units, Deniz Çiya, confirmed at the conclusion of his speech to ANHA agency that their units will continue their operations in the camp until the dismantling of these cells and ending their influence in the camp, and until the end of the investigations with the detainees, to reset the camp's security.

Al-Hol camp, according to the latest statistics of the camp administration, is inhabited by 60,351 people, distributed among 16,404 families, as follows:

Number of Iraqis: 30,738 people, distributed among 8,256 families.

Syrians: 21,058 people distributed among 5,619 families.

ISIS foreign families: 8,555 children and women distributed over 2,529 families.
