SDC General Command blesses Newroz: We must put an end for collaboration between Turkey, ISIS

The General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF issued a written statement to public opinion on the occasion of Newroz Eid, in which it said:

The flame of freedom that was lit on the 21st of March began with Newroz, dedicated to the peoples of the Middle East and the peoples of the world, and the elimination of ISIS/Daesh has added unparalleled value to history. On the 23rd of March, under the leadership of the People's Protection Units YPG, Women's Protection Units YPJ and the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF, and with the support of the International Coalition, ISIS/Daesh was geographically eradicated, which was a scourge for the whole world.

The statement pointed out that the Kobane resistance, which entered human history with strong battles it fought, turned into the beginning of the end for ISIS/Daesh, as the battles that continued in the so-called caliphate's capital created a great resistance within 5 years. This resistance continued from the beginning of the year 2019 in al-Baghouz town, and caused the geographical elimination of ISIS, and this victory was given to the world.

The statement indicated that these camps have turned into a ground for ISIS to regroup and gather its remnants, and despite this, the international community does not take any step with regard to this file. This situation exposes the region and the world to great danger.

ISIS/ Daesh is trying to organize itself and launch stronger attacks, and it receives the most support from the Turkish state. Hundreds of mercenaries were arrested in hundreds of operations after 2019. Several of them admitted to these matters. Therefore, the people of the world and the international community must show a firm stance on direct cooperation between ISIS/Daesh and the Turkish state. The international community must shoulder its responsibilities towards the prisons and camps that house thousands of mercenaries and their families. Working together to establish the foundations of stability and security is not sufficient. Therefore, we call on all forces to carry out their responsibilities in a larger and more planned manner. "

The statement emphasized that in 2019, thanks to the Guerrilla spirit of thousands of martyrs, victory over ISIS was achieved, and we remember our martyrs who made the historical resistance and express our respect for our people, and just as YPG, YPJ the soul of Rojava.

The General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces concluded its statement by saying: "We congratulate Newroz 2021 to all the peoples of the world, and we hope that the flame of freedom will burn in all fields."
