Ain Issa attack is an Ottoman plan, Russian role is so meager

A number of Qamishlo residents said that the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on Ain Issa come within the Ottoman expansion plan, by cutting off the entire international road, stressing that the Russian role is so meager.

The Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries have intensified the attack on Ain Issa and the surrounding villages since two days in a row, amid Russian silence.

In this context, our agency monitored the views of the people of Qamishlo city, as they confirmed that the Turkish occupation, with its attacks, is seeking to expand its occupation and restore the glories of the vanished Ottoman state on Syrian lands.

'Ottoman and Safavid schemes'

The citizen Mohammed Aref, from Qamishlo city, confirmed that the Turkish occupation is implementing its Ottoman plan, to restore control of all the lands previously occupied by the Ottoman Empire.

He added, "Turkey and Iran's plan is based on the restoration of the Ottoman and Safavid Empire."

Regarding the Russian position on these attacks, Aref explained that the Russian agendas in the region make it imperative not to intervene and adopt any position in this regard, saying: "The superpowers are likewise claiming democracy and protecting human rights, but their interests are above all else."

Earlier, Russia expressed its annoyance at the Turkish occupation mobilization in the vicinity of Ain Issa, which raised several questions about the reasons and objectives for this, and whether there has been a change in the nature of the relationship and agreements between the two countries in Syria.

Russia accuses Turkey of violating the Sochi agreement, which was reached on October 22, 2019, for the ceasefire.

As for the citizen Mohammed Ali Mustafa, a resident from Serêkaniyê / Ras al-Ain area, who displaced his home after the Turkish attack on the Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî areas, on October 9, 2019, he indicated that the history of the Turkish state is based on the policy of genocide and ethnic cleansing, adding: "Whenever we take steps towards achieving peace, it races to attack, and closes the road before us."

Mustafa stressed that the intense attack on Ain Issa district by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries stems from their desire to occupy a new area and cut off the entire international road in front of civilians, calling for the Kurdish unity to be achieved to repel these attacks and thwart them.

'Desire to expand the occupation zone'

In turn, the citizen Farhad Hussein Yunus indicated that the Kurds in Syria are subjected to injustice and persecution, saying: "Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî are under the yoke of the Turkish occupation, Ain Issa attack stems from its desire to expand occupation."

Yunus touched on the positions of European countries on these attacks, stressing that they are just media mouthpieces that are so meager, and their work requires only condemnation, while there are no effective solutions that serve this people, calling on the Kurds to unify their ranks to stand in the face of the Turkish occupation and mercenaries loyal to it.

These attacks coincide with the third anniversary of the occupation of Afrin city by Turkey and its mercenaries on the 18^th of March 2018, with a Russian green light, to repeat the same scene in Ain Issa again.

'Turkey is just a tool'

For his part, the citizen Assi Dawood confirmed that the Kurdish people are exposed to a campaign of extermination by Turkey, which is known to be hostile to the Kurds, but this does not mean that the Turkish dream of exterminating the Kurds will come true, saying: "We will resist Turkey's plans and plots to exterminate the Kurds."

Dawood explained that the enemies of the Kurds are many, not only Turkey, but the international arena is open to Ankara which is a tool in the hand of major countries to implement their agendas.

Assi Daoud, in the conclusion of his speech, called on international bodies and organizations to do their work as it is supposed to be, and to stop the Turkish invasion of Syrian lands.
