Lebanese writer: Arab Initiative for Ocalan Freedom aims to clarify his idea of ​​freedom

On the twenty-second anniversary of the international conspiracy that targeted the leader Abdullah Ocalan on February 15th, a group of Egyptian and Arab intellectuals launched an Arab initiative aimed at introducing the issue of Ocalan and his people under the name "The Arab Initiative for Ocalan Freedom", based on their humanitarian affiliation that is imperative for them. Supporting freedom fighters for their peoples on the one hand, and loyalty to the close historical ties that united the Arab and Kurdish peoples.

In this context, the Lebanese writer and journalist, Khalil al-Qadi, said that the Arab initiative for the freedom of the thinker and fighter Abdullah Ocalan comes in the context of support for the Kurdish cause in general and the cause of the fighter who was arbitrarily arrested, which prompted many Arab journalists, thinkers and writers to raise the voice and demand the freedom of the Kurdish thinker and militant. Who spent his life defending the cause of his people and the oppressed peoples?

In a special statement to ANHA agency, al-Qadi explained that the initiative comes as an affirmation of the right to struggle, the right to freedom and the right to equality to obtain political rights, which is a right for all peoples, pointing out that the Kurdish people suffer from persecution in the countries in which they live, and they are mainly the owners of the land specifically. In the regions of Kurdistan (east, west, north and south).

The Lebanese journalist writer pointed out that the initiative also comes within the framework of raising the voice in the face of Turkish arrogance, which continues to arrest the fighter and thinker Abdullah Ocalan, and from here called on Arab thinkers in order to support his cause and release him, and the initiative seeks to clarify Arab peoples to Ocalan's thought. And the liberation thought calling for freedom even if the nationalities differed, especially since its thought is not limited to Kurdish nationalism.

Al-Qadi pointed out that this initiative came as a result of the tireless work of a group of Arab political, journalist and intellectual personalities, which seek to connect bridges of communication with the Kurdish people wherever they are and to adopt their cause of freedom, equality and obtaining their rights.

At the end of his speech, the Lebanese writer and journalist, Khalil al-Qadi said: “From here we see that the initiative, even if its crystallization was delayed, but it came at the appropriate time, especially since everyone in the world calls for freedom, social justice and equality. He takes any act that threatens peace, and all that he has done is to demand the rights of his people and the rights of peoples oppressed by the major powers in the world."
