Yazidi representatives meet with Iraqi officials: Yazidis await results

In spite of the obstacles that the Iraqi forces placed in front of the people of Şengal province to prevent gathering in it, the people arrived at it and left, rejecting the “Baghdad-Hewler” agreement, which was signed between the two parties to satisfy Turkey and its plans, and they launched a demonstration, in support of Asayîşa Êzidxanê.

The demonstration was attended by notables of Yazidis and religious figures, representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration Council of Şengal, the Yazidi Freedom and Democracy Party, and the Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement.

The demonstrators chanted slogans confirming their solidarity with Asayîşa Êzidxanê and slogans "Long live the Şengal resistance", "Long live the mothers' resistance."

At one of the Iraqi forces' checkpoints, Hasso Ibrahim, the vice-presidency of the Democratic Autonomous Administration Council in Şengal, delivered a speech in which he said that they would not allow Şengal again to be a victim of political considerations.

Ibrahim added, "We will not accept the decrees against us under the name of the law. If Iraq and the countries of the world want to apply the law, they should not apply it to the Yazidis only."

Hasso Ibrahim pointed out that they would not accept being a victim of dirty policies again, and he continued, saying, "We now have power, institutions and councils, and we have protection forces, and all representatives of the Yazidis and Şengal are here except for the supporters of one party - referring to the Kurdistan Democratic Party, one of the parties to the agreement." - We are here for Asayîşa Êzidxanê.

In 2014, if there were Asayîşa Êzidxanê, the Yazidis would not have subjected that decree, and our mothers and sisters would not have become victims. "

Hasso Ibrahim conveyed the demands of the Yazidis for Şengal to be a decentralization region and said, "We are not against the laws of Iraq, and according to Iraqi laws, we also demand our rights."

It is our right, according to the Iraqi law and constitution, for Şengal to be a decentralized region, that is, for Şengal to rule themselves independently. and because the Yazidi people and their women have been subjected to massacres, it is their right to rule themselves independently.

After the speech ended, representatives of the Yazidis and clerics, the Democratic Autonomous Administration Council of Şengal, the Yazidi Freedom and Democracy Party, and the Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement went to meet with Iraqi officials.

The meeting is still going on until now, and the Yazidis are waiting for the results of the meeting, and they are gathered near the Asayîşa Êzidxanê Center.
