Opinion poll: HDP is closest party capable of solving Turkey's problems

A poll revealed that the HDP is the closest party capable of solving problems in Turkey, while the country is witnessing the worst economic and political crisis led by the Justice and Development Party and its ally, the National Movement Party.

The survey conducted by the Center for Social and Political Studies, during the period between 18 and 25 January last, in the states of Amed, Ruha, Mardin, Wan, Batman, Mosh, Batlis, Qars, Agri and Bingol, 31.8% of the participants confirmed that the closest party capable of solving the country's problems is Democratic Peoples’ Party (HDP).

The poll, published on the website of the newspaper "Gazatah Dovar", on the studies website and reported by Al Ain News Network, asked the participants the following question: To which party will you vote in the next elections regardless of which party you gave your vote in the past? 2.5% of the participants answered that they would vote for the HDP, 10.2% for the AKP, 6% for the National Movement Party, and 12.4% for the National Movement Party (CHP).

These results indicate the declining popularity of the Justice and Development Party, led by Erdogan.

Moreover, according to 31.8% of those polled, the closest party capable of solving the country's problems is the HDP, while 18.8% said the Justice and Development Party, 16.4% said "they did not decide," and 12.6% said "nothing."

The poll also asked the respondents a question about the biggest problem facing Turkey: 61.4% of them said "the economic crisis / unemployment", 16.9% said "the Kurdish issue", 4.9% said "violence / atmosphere of conflict", and 2.5% said the government, 2.4%, was the absence of an opposition.
