Washington: We work on identifying those responsible for Hewlêr attack, keep right to reply

White House spokeswoman Jane Psaki announced today that US authorities are communicating with officials in Iraq to determine who is responsible for the Hewlêr attack, which occurred on Monday evening.

According to "Reuters", Psaki said in a press conference that "President Joe Biden's administration is still working to determine who is responsible for the missile attack that targeted US-led forces in northern Iraq."

She added, "We are still working in cooperation with our Iraqi partners to determine responsibility for this attack," noting that the administration is angry about this attack.

And she emphasized that "the United States reserves the right to respond to this attack in partnership with our Iraqi partners."

And Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhzemi said that "the terrorist act that targeted Hewlêr coincides with our efforts to keep Iraq away from conflicts, and aims to create chaos and shuffle the cards," stressing the continuation of efforts "not to turn Iraq into a back garden for conflicts."

The International Coalition announced, on Tuesday, that the Hewlêr attack was carried out with 14 missiles, killing a civilian and wounding 9 others.
