Prominent Kurdish politician, Dr. Othman calls on confronting Turkish occupation attacks

The prominent Kurdish politician Dr. Mahmoud Othman stressed the need for all Kurdish political parties to stand in one line against the Turkish occupation attacks, stressing that the issue is not related to the PKK only, but to Southern Kurdistan (Başûr).

According to a statement by the Popular Defense Forces (HPG) today, the Turkish occupation army launched a large-scale attack with the aim of occupying the Gare area, and HPG announced that the occupation forces moved from Başûr (North of Iraq) and not Northern Kurdistan (Bakûr).

In this context, the Kurdish politician Dr. Othman told ROJNEWS," such an attack is imminent, adding: "All parties must call on the international community and the United States to pressure Turkey to stop its attacks."

Dr. Othman said that the target of these attacks is Southern Kurdistan, and he continued his speech by saying: “These attacks target Southern Kurdistan and Iraq and cross its sovereignty.

Othman added, "The Turkish state sees Southern Kurdistan as a vacuum, and does not recognize the Kurdistan region, but rather finds it a home for it, and therefore attacks from all sides."

And Kurdish politician called on the Kurdish political parties to stand united against these attacks.
