NE Syria people denounce Turkish attacks on Garê

The people of north and east Syria condemned the Turkish attacks on Garê area in Southern (Başûr) Kurdistan, and called on the international community to take a clear and serious position on these attacks.

The angry popular reactions continue about the Turkish occupation army launching attacks on the legitimate defense zones (media), specifically Garê area after midnight last night, where Tel Brak District Council, the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in Tel Hamis district, and the Youth Council in Raqqa made separate statements.

TEL BRAK

The Tel Brak District Council of Qamishlo canton condemned the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on Garê area , during a statement.

The statement was read by the Co-chair of the District Council, Abdel Salam al-Hassani, who condemned the Turkish attack on the legitimate defense zones.

Al-Hassani called on the international community to take a clear stance towards the Turkish occupation's attacks against the Kurdish people, and said, “We call on the international community to take a clear and serious stance on Turkey's practices against the legitimate defense zones.”

TEL HAMIS

In Tel Hamis district of Qamishlo canton, members of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth in Tel Hamis district demanded, during a statement, to end the barbaric attacks launched by the Turkish state on Garê area.

The statement was read by the Member of the Revolutionary Youth, Atallah Al-Sabaa, in front of the District Council, with the participation of dozens of members of the Revolutionary Youth in Tel Hamis district in Qamishlo canton.

The statement included: “The Turkish occupation state continues to kill and terrorize civilians, and this was clear through its attacks on Afrin, Serêkaniyê, and Girê Spî, and this is more evident through its direct targeting by warplanes of Garê area in Southern Kurdistan, and its constant threat to Şengal and Dêrik areas.”

The statement emphasized that “Turkey has crossed all limits and is witnessing a state of brutal frenzy," stressing the need “to put an end to it before this frenzy extends to the entire geography of the Middle East and to Europe.”

The statement concluded, “We, the Revolutionary Youth in Tel Hamis district, raise our voice today, denouncing the attacks on our people in Garê area in Southern Kurdistan and the attacks on north and east Syria on an ongoing basis," stressing “We will escalate resistance and struggle for our people to reach safety.”

RAQQA

The Member of Raqqa Youth Council, Ahmed Al-Hassen, delivered a statement in the presence of dozens of people, denouncing the Turkish bombardment of Garê in Southern Kurdistan in Al-Taj Hall in the city center.

The statement read: “In light of the brutal barbaric attacks practiced by the fascist Turkish occupation through the policy of murder and colonial terrorism on all areas, the last of which is Garê Mountains in Kurdistan Mountains, which represent resistance and hope for all the peoples of the region, these areas are watered with the blood of their honorable people who have provided the precious and cheap to their people and their land.”

The statement condemned “these attacks by the Turkish fascism continuing with its arbitrary, bloody and terrorist policy against our peoples.”

The statement concluded, "We pledge our people to stand against this bloody fascist occupation until the liberation of the last inch of our lands, confirm the revolutionary resistance, and we will restore all rights to the people and the pure land from the Turkish terrorism.”

AMUDA

Hundreds of young people and parents of Amuda district went out to the streets and took part in a march organized in support of the resistance shown by the Guerrilla fighters in Garê Mountains in Southern Kurdistan against the Turkish occupation attacks.

The Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Union called to participate in the march that was organized in Amuda district to denounce the attacks that the Turkish occupation began to launch on Garê area in Southern Kurdistan since this morning, and to affirm the support of the people of the region for the resistance shown by the Guerrilla fighters facing these attacks.

Dozens of people from Amuda district, members of civil society institutions, the Democratic Union Party and the Kongra Star participated in the march.

The participants in the march raised banners reading “The resistance of the Kurdish people will defeat Turkish fascism,” in addition to raising flags of the Youth Movement and pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The march stopped in front of the Revolutionary Youth Center, where the Member of the Youth Movement, Ibrahim Asaad, gave a speech in which he confirmed that the Freedom Revolution had taken historical steps based on the thought and philosophy of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, which annoys the Turkish state.
