Groups loyal to the head of the Government of National Accord, Fayez al-Sarraj, from the brigades of the western region and the western mountain, were quick to announce their rejection of the outcomes of the political dialogue and the government to be formed.

On Monday, the last and decisive meetings of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum in Geneva are taking place in Geneva to choose the new political leadership that will manage the transitional phase until the elections, a situation that seems to have fallen short of the groups that announced their rejection of the process and started an armed move.

Hundreds of military vehicles carrying gunmen moved in a huge convoy from the western region towards the capital, Tripoli.

These groups also announced the unification of their ranks, the resolution of their differences, the opening of roads between the regions, and support for the return of all the displaced, and they called for the reunification of the Presidency Council and the formation of what it described as a "unity government" until elections are held.

Armed groups loyal to al-Sarraj also attacked, in their statement, the Minister of Interior and one of the most prominent candidates for the post of Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha, declaring their rejection of the "Snake Hunting" operation in the western region, which Bashagha intends to launch to pursue the smugglers.

The threat of pro-Sarraj groups triggered the Misrata groups, as a column of armed cars arrived from Misrata to Tripoli, with the aim of protecting Fathi Bashagha from the pro-Sarraj groups.

On the other hand, and in conjunction with these armed movements, the Libyan National Army confirmed its support for any step that brings the views of Libyans closer and contributes to solving the crisis.

The spokesman for the Libyan National Army, Ahmed Al-Mesmari, did not hide the Libyan army’s fears that the groups would obstruct any political solution in Libya, stressing that any new government will have a file to solve the "mercenaries and militias" dilemma.
