Daraa Division Four and armed groups escalation

Western rural Daraa was shelled by the Syrian Government Forces in line with clashes erupted between the Syrian Government Forces and Fajr al-Islam Group.

Since the early hours of the day, Daraa western countryside is undergoing violent clashes, in the city of Tafes in western Daraa countryside, in the aftermath of an attack carried out by forces of the 4th Armoured Division on headquarters of a former commander of the Fajr al-Islam Group, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SOHR.

the 4th Armoured Division of the Syrian Government Forces asked the Western General Command in Daraa to hand over heavy weapons in possession of the group in Tafes, and deporting all wanted persons that reject reconciliations, in a bid to avoid storming the city.

This comes two days after reinforcements were brought by the 4th Armoured Division commanded by Maher al-Assad, that included tens of military vehicles and tanks to Tafes, coming from the capital.

Worth to note that Fajr al-Islam Group was a faction of the Syrian Free Army that refused to leave the city of Daraa, in 2018 it adopted the Reconciliation Agreements with the Russian Forces.
