Last week, the US State Department announced that it had informed Congress of its intention to classify the Houthi group a "terrorist organization", starting January 19.

In the context, the US Treasury Department said that the sanctions against Houthi groups will exclude the humanitarian and relief side, through new exemptions as it exempted multiple relief groups, including the United Nations and the Red Cross, stressing that the exemption aims to allow relief groups to support humanitarian projects, build democracy, education and protect the environment in Yemen.

On Tuesday, Houthi groups have re-raided villages in al-Haima area, east of Taiz, after a week of military campaign that targeted them and killed 11 civilians who opposed the groups' creation of military sites in a mountain

In addition, local sources in Taiz reported that 11 military vehicles were sent by Houthi groups to the villages of al-Haima area, including four teams of female police, who raided homes in a number of villages in the area, according to what was reported by al-Bayan newspaper.

The sources said that Houthi groups assaulted the residents while searching homes, and indicated that the young Adham Amin al-Sufi in the village of Al-Akmah in Al-Haima was severely beaten by a number of Houthi gunmen, after which he was transferred to intensive care in Al-Qaeda city.
