Almost 100 breaches against journalists as mercenaries' held areas predominant 

It was documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SOHR, that around a 100 breaches were recorded against activists and journalists, in addition to more than 15 attempt assassinations in the whole of Syria in 2020, as areas held by the Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenary groups are predominant.

In a report released by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SOHR, violations against Syrian activists and journalists in 2020 were documented, in which it was revealed that harassment against activists and media professionals proceed via periodic arrests, questioning and prevention of carrying out work properly amid strict procedures, especially in areas held by the Syrian Government and the so-called Syrian Interim Government in Aleppo, Raqqa and Hasaka, in addition to areas held by the Syrian Salvation Government in Idlib, as the most inflicted area.     

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SOHR, at least 98 breaches against activists, media professionals and journalists were documented on all Syrian soil, including questioning, abduction, arrest and threating, as areas held by the Tahrir al-Sham mercenary group and others affiliated to the Turkish Occupation Forces are the most inflicted ones with around 69 violations, followed by areas held by the Syrian Government with 25 violations. 

In addition to that, around 15 attempt assassinations were documented by the SOHR, mostly in Idlib and the surrounding countryside and areas held by mercenary groups affiliated to the Turkish Occupation Army that led to the murders of five activists and injuries of others.
