The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries escalated their attacks on the Ain Issa region, with the aim of controlling the international road, and in turn, the SDF responded to these attacks continuously.

Commenting on the attacks on Ain Issa, the Vice President of the Executive Authority of the Syrian Democratic Council Hikmat Al-Habib explained to ANHA agency that these attacks come within the framework of Turkish-Russian bargains.

Al-Habib indicated that the Syrian crisis is passing through a new turn, in light of the recent Turkish threats and the non-stop Turkish aggression. He explained that Turkey is a rogue state based on international law, and it is an occupying country that seeks to restore the glories of the Ottoman Empire.

Hikmat Al-Habib touched on the position of the guarantor countries on the Turkish attacks on the Ain Issa district, and said: “Despite the understandings with the guarantor countries, especially the Russian side to stop the Turkish aggression against NE Syria, however, these violations and aggression are still continuing amid Russian silence.

"How can a country that claims patriotism without defending its sovereignty?"

Hikmat Al-Habib referred to the intensity of the latest Turkish attacks on the Ain Issa district, and stated: “The increase in the intensity of the attacks is an attempt to control the region, and these operations come within the Turkish-Russian bargains at the expense of the Syrians. These trade-offs are not new, as they were made in Ghouta and the countryside of Damascus, at the expense of changing the demographics, for the sake of Russian and Turkish interests far from the Syrians'.

Al-Habib added that: “The Syrian government claims patriotism and that it preserves the sovereignty of the Syrian state and its borders, but in reality, it does the opposite. Areas are being handed over to Turkey in order to maintain the regime’s authority, so how can a state claiming to be patriotic not to defend the borders and sovereignty of this country.”

"The SDF defends the country's borders."

He also touched on the resistance by the Syrian Democratic Forces and said: “The Syrian Democratic Forces have taken upon themselves the duty to defend the borders of the homeland, regardless of its differences or agreement with the Syrian regime or with any other party, and we saw that in different areas of Syria, how The SDF faced the occupation attacks on its own, but the Syrian government is defending certain areas, and the areas in which it sees its interest, and this is far from the national line, the Syrian government is supposed to defend Ain Issa and any area on the Syrian geography and to deter Turkish aggression .

"The Syrian Democratic Council is pro dialogues to end the conflict"

On the role of the Syrian Democratic Council in ending the Syrian conflict, Al-Habib explained: “We are in the Syrian Democratic Council focus on Syrian-Syrian dialogues in order to end the conflict in Syria, but in fact the Syrian regime wants to return to before 2011. And Russia is thus trying to reproduce the regime through its control over various regions, including Ain Issa.

"The international coalition must put an end to the Turkish attacks."

Al-Habib criticized the international coalition’s position on the Turkish attacks on Ain Issa and said: “There was no international deterrent in the first place for the Turkish state, especially by the international coalition that fights terrorism and ISIS in the region, and we all know and the coalition is realizing the fact that this terrorism is supported by the Justice and Development Party. And the opening of the Turkish borders for its supporters to enter Syria, and the Syrian Democratic Forces, in cooperation and coordination with the international coalition, were able to fight this terrorism, so it was the duty of the international coalition to stop the Turkish aggression and put an end to it.

Hikmat Al-Habib noted that Turkey seeks to annex the Arab countries, thus end the role of the Arab League and the influential Arab countries, especially Egypt, and said: “There is a great responsibility on the Arab League to preserve the borders of the Arab countries, and Syria is part of it. It is the duty of Egypt and the League to put an end to the Turkish aggression. "
