The official SANA agency said: “The Syrian army’s air defense media confronted, at dawn today, an Israeli aggression through a barrage of rockets at Masyaf area in Hama countryside, and most of the enemy missiles were dropped.”

The agency quoted a military source affiliated with the Damascus government forces as saying that “at exactly twelve and 40 minutes at Friday dawn, the Israeli enemy launched an aggression by directing a missile barrage from the north of the Lebanese city of Tripoli towards the Masyaf area in the western countryside of Hama. In turn, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the Israeli bombing targeted military centers for government forces and others belonging to Iran, and warehouses within "defense laboratories", west of the city of Masyaf in the countryside of Hama.
