In a special statement to ANHA agency, Al Karasi indicated that since the arrival of the Turks to Somalia, the percentage of terrorist operations increased, as well as the tax rate imposed on citizens, in addition to the salaries they pay to the Somali youth movement to increase terrorist operations in the country.

The Somali security expert pointed out that Turkey seeks to control everything in the country by supporting the current regime, announcing an initiative entitled "Stop the Turkification of Somalia," calling for it to stand by his country to stop Turkish interference in it.

The Somali opposition said it had sent a letter to Turkey urging it not to send a shipment of weapons to a special police unit, as it feared that President Mohammad Abdullah Mohammad would use it to win the upcoming elections.

Somalia is experiencing great political tension, fueled by opposition anger at the postponement of the elections to both houses of parliament, and elections were initially scheduled to take place this month, but this plan was canceled after disagreements over the formation of the election commission.

Supporters of the opposition organized a rally against the president in the capital, Mogadishu, due to the delay.

In a letter to the Turkish ambassador to Somalia, opposition candidates said, "They have learned that Ankara intends to deliver 1,000 G-3 rifles and 150,000 bullets to the Haramad unit of the Somali police."

The letter said that the candidates "are concerned about this quantity of weapons dumping the country at a sensitive election time."

The opponents emphasized that the president "has already used Haramad's forces in suppression and rigging the regional elections, and therefore there is no doubt that the forces of Haramad will be used as well, and the weapons coming from Turkey to win in the upcoming elections."
