The popular reactions against the new conspiracy on the Yazidi community based in Şengal continue. The conspiracy aims to strike at the democratic administration established with the great sacrifices following the attacks of ISIS mercenaries.

Recently, the Baghdad-KDP agreement on Şengal on October 9 was concluded, without considering the Democratic Autonomous Administration or the military forces there.  Member of the Yazidi Women’s Movement, Hadiya Shemo, explained that the goal of the agreement is to control the minority religious region, that was massacred in 2014 in front of the world's eyes.

'attempts of disperse against the Yazidi community again'

Shemo showed that Yazidi women were subjected to the most horrific types of crimes after ISIS attacks, and she noted that many of them have unknown fate after the Democratic Party and the Iraqi army abandoned Şengal during the attack of ISIS mercenaries.

She explained that the Yazidi community managed to overcome its suffering and establish an autonomous administration that represents its aspirations.

Member of the Movement noted: "We are aware that there is a third party standing behind the agreement, and they must realize that weakening the Şengal administration weakens Iraq."

She referred to people reaction to the agreement noted: "Many Yazidi activities refuse to weaken their administration, which was paid high price of people blood for its establishment."

She noted that the Şengal administration was an opportunity to highlight the role of Yazidi women in local and international forums, and she said: "This woman who was left in the hands of ISIS mercenaries, was able to show her will again."

'Rojava supported the Şengal people'

Shemo confirmed that the people of Rojava stood by the people of Şengal during the mercenary attack in 2014.

Shamo called on the regional government not to repeat the Kirkuk scenario in Şengal, and for the Kurdistan Democratic Party to abandon its narrow partisan interests that serve the enemies of the Kurdish cause.
