The text of the statement read:

“We in the political parties say no to the agreement between the governments of Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government, which would determine the fate of the people of Şengal and the Yazidi people and marginalize their will that was put forward on the path to building it and eliminating ISIS terrorism, hundreds of their children, while the governments of Baghdad and the KRG left them in the clutches of ISIS terrorism."

The political parties considered that any agreement regarding Şengal in which the will and administration of Şengal in all its spectra and components are absent is considered morally and humanly unacceptable, and “the priority in Şengal administration must be given to the people of Şengal.”

The parties that signed the statement: the Modernity and Democracy Party in Syria, the Democratic Union Party, the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Left Party, the Democratic Peace Party, the Kurdistan National Assembly, the Kurdistan Fraternity Party, the Kurdish Left Party in Syria, the Democratic Conservative Party, and the Liberal Union Party and the Kurdistani Party and the Accord Party.

In the context, the employees of the People's Municipality in Tirbe Spiye district denounced the agreement between the Hewler government of Baghdad, and considered it a continuation of the plots against the Yazidi people, during a statement read before the People's Municipality in the district by the co-chair, Nassim Murad.

The statement called on the international community to respect the will of the people of Şengal, and affirmed their support for the Yazidi people.
