Kabul Police spokesperson told the media, at around 07:15 AM, two "sticky bombs" exploded early Saturday morning, one of them targeted a police car, resulting in the killing one policeman and wounding three others

On the other hand, a Ford car carrying a magnetic mine also exploded in the Chelson area of ​​Kabul, and fortunately the explosion did not cause any casualties.

"This morning, the terrorists fired 14 rockets on the city of Kabul," interior ministry spokesman Tariq Arian said. "Unfortunately the rockets hit residential areas. Until now, three of our countrymen were martyred and 11 others were wounded."

Earlier this week, US announced it will sharply reduce the number of US troops in Afghanistan. Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller said 2,000 troops will be pullout from the war- ravaged country by Jan 15.

In a related context, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will meet, on Saturday, in Qatar, negotiators from the Taliban movement and the Afghan government, amid indications of progress in their talks.

US State Department said late on Friday that Pompeo would hold these meetings separately in Doha, where the Afghan government and the Taliban have been conducting peace negotiations since September.
