Russian president Vladimir Putin said to media at Tuesday dawn, that Baku and Yerevan have reached a Russian brokered '' comprehensive ceasefire'' in the region that went into effect on Monday night 21:00.

Adding that '' on October 9TH, Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Nikol Pashinyan, Armenia's Prime Minister and president of Federal Russia signed a comprehensive ceasefire agreement to end all hostilities in the disputed area of Nagorno/Karabakh, that goes into effect at mid night of November 10th at Moscow time.

Putin noted that the two parties would ''maintain the controlled areas''.

Putin's statement came shortly after Armenian Prime Minister declared that he had signed a ''painful'' agreement with Azerbaijan and Federal Russia to end the war in the disputed region.

Pashinyan said, in a statement on Facebook:'' I have signed an agreement with Russian and the Azeri presidents to end war in Karabakh'', describing the step as ''painful indescribably, for me as for our people''.

As the news spread, thousands of angry protesters took to the government headquarter in Yerevan, where a majority demonstrated outside the headquarter that was stormed by other hundreds who sabotaged offices inside, more notably in one hall of the Council of Ministers, and broke it's windows, according to the France Press Agency'',  chanting slogans condemning the prime minister of which '' Nikol the traitor''.

The agreement comes  after Azeri Forces took control of the strategic city of  Shusha at 15km from the capital of the region Stepankirt, that was denied by Armenian forces.

According to Putin a force of around thousand soldiers would be deployed to keep peace and  implement the agreement.

Russian news agency reported from the Ministry of Defense in Moscow that Russian peacekeeping force that would be deployed to the disputed region is made up of 1960 soldiers and 90 armored vehicles.

Putin expressed his hopes that the agreement would bring'' suitable conditions for a permanent compromise'' to the struggle.

The struggle resulted in killing of at least 1300 people since September 27th, according to statistics by the two parties, though Azerbaijan never stated it's military losses, that is the real military toll of deaths may reach thousands.

Signing of the agreement came hours after Baku made an official pardon to Moscow regarding downing of a M-24 Russian military helicopter was hovering over Armenia close to the Azeri borders, that cost lives of two of it's crew, and injuring a third.,

Various brokered ceasefire agreements by Moscow, Paris and Washington, that co-chairs the presidency of the Minsk Group since 1994, failed to find a solution to the struggle.
