QAMISHLO - KADAR IBRAHIM

On Sunday night, the Turkish occupation state launched an air attack via a drone on the village of Khalaf in the town of Bari in Şengal province. In the result, a citizen who was working to maintain a well of water lost his life, and a fighter in al-Nasr al-Mubin forces got injured.

Al-Nasr al-Mubin forces indicated in a statement that the attack was carried out directly by the Turkish MIT and the forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and this is a continuation of the agreement that was concluded between the Democratic Party and the Turkish state on the 9th of October.

Rojava Yazidis condemned and denounced the recent Turkish attack on Şengal, and stated that the aim of these attacks is to intimidate the Yazidis into accepting the agreements that are hidden.

Barzan Selo pointed out that the recent attack on Şengal "is a continuation of the agreements held among the dark forces with the aim of eliminating the Yazidis, including 2014 agreement, according to which it was agreed to sell Şengal area and allow ISIS mercenaries to commit the most horrific crimes against the Yazidis and destroy the places of worship in front of the eyes of the whole world."

On August 3, 2014, ISIS mercenaries launched an attack on Şengal region, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) forces which used to claim to protect Şengal withdrew from the area without firing a single shot. The People's Defense Forces (HPG), the People and Women Protection Units (YPG, YPJ) intervened and opened a corridor for the Yazidis, thus more than 200,000 Yazidis' life was secured from extermination.

Selo noted that the Yazidi people "have been targeted since hundreds of years, and 73 massacres have been committed against them so far, as the aim of the recent attack is to force the Yazidis to submit and succumb to the agreement concluded between Baghdad government and Kurdistan Region under the auspices of Turkey."

He explained that submission to Baghdad-Hewlêr Agreement "is something that the Yazidi people in general will not accept, and especially Şengal people who suffered atrocities after ISIS mercenaries' attacks."

Selo linked between "the recent attack on Şengal and the recent moves of the Kurdistan Democratic Party which massed its forces in Garê region," adding: "The goal is one and it is subjugation of the Kurdish people."

For his part, Suleiman Habsoun noted that the Yazidi people "will not be subject to any policies or agreements at the expense of their people's blood. He continued: "The Yazidis will not accept any extraneous administration to manage their affairs, and only the Autonomous Administration will manage the Yazidis' affairs, and we will not allow the 2014 plot to be repeated."

Habsoun indicated that the Şengal region was liberated thanks to thousands of martyrs who sacrificed their blood to liberate it from ISIS mercenaries who occupied several areas after the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) forces withdrew from the region and left it to the claws of ISIS mercenaries.

Habsoun appealed to the Yazidis in Şengal and the world to protest against the agreements being hatched against them, and called on them to adhere to their religious and cultural identity.
