This came through a joint statement issued by the political forces of various components in northeast Syria, in which they said:

"With great concern, we are following the latest news from the mountains of the Kurdistan Region and circulated news regarding the increasing tensions between the forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party on the one hand and the Kurdistan Workers Party on the other hand. We are deeply concerned day after day in the absence of any practical initiatives to contain the crisis, thereby injecting a real disaster if the existing tension continues.

As political forces in northeast Syria, we believe that the Kurdish issue has become one of the most prominent issues of concern throughout the region, and that the Kurdish people have proven over the past years that they are among the vital people in this geography and able to play key roles in ensuring their security and stability in the face of the major risks that they have been exposed to, especially to confront the danger of radical Salafi organizations, preserve the values of coexistence and promote societal peace. Although the Kurds do not run political entities, but they have organized pioneering powers that have been able to correct and coordinate their energies, and the Kurdish political activity has been positively reflected on the various interwoven peoples with them, this was evident in the KRG's role towards Iraqi national issues, and in return the Kurdish people in Syria had a major role in establishing the Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria.

We affirm our conviction that political difference cannot represent a real problem when it is based on what establishes common strategic interests, and that it is the most important pillar of collective thinking that should not destroy peoples' causes, but rather strengthen and protect their strength in the most difficult circumstances. We have supported initiatives. We are sorry that we are following the news of the escalation among the brothers in Kurdistan Region in Iraq, while we are looking forward to announcing tangible results for the Kurdish dialogue in Syria.

Hence, we consider that targeting this rising Kurdish role in the region will serve all parties hostile to the democratic cause, and that regional countries, led by Turkey, are striving to justify obstructing this progress on the Kurdish issue, and that any internal Kurdish clashes will undermine all national issues progress.

We call on all democratic political forces in the world to assume their responsibility to prevent any escalation among the Kurdish political parties, especially since the whole world bears witness to the great sacrifices of Kurds in fighting terrorism and that any potential Kurdish conflict would weaken the front against terrorism and constitute a real imbalance in the region.

We, as Kurdish, Arab and Assyrian political forces, appeal to all parties, particularly the brothers in the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Kurdistan Workers Party to exert maximum restraint and miss the opportunity for those who are stalking their issues, by taking dialogue as a method to address all controversial issues and the cessation of the military and mutual media campaigns that deepen the popular division. We trust in the two parties have political wisdom and long experience that will help them overcome this ordeal and understand that brothers war is not victory.
