28 Kurdish, Arab and Syriac political parties in northern and eastern Syria held a press conference today at the Center for Diplomatic Studies and Research in Qamishlo city, and they expressed their position on the Kurdistan Democratic Party's being drawn behind the plans of the Turkish occupation state.

The statement was read by the Secretary of the Kurdish Left Party in Syria Muhammad Musa, as he indicated that the current crisis between the two Kurdish parties represented by the Kurdistan Workers' Party and the Kurdistan Democratic Party will have negative effects on all parts of Kurdistan and on the Kurdish movement in general.

Musa emphasized that "the main contradiction is not among the Kurdish brothers, but with the usurpers of the rights of the Kurdish people and the peoples of Kurdistan, and that the existing contradictions among the Kurdish forces are secondary  and can be resolved through constructive dialogue between the two conflicting parties."

The statement of the parties demanded from both sides "to return to dialogue and reason to resolve the outstanding issues between the two sides and to reject all acts of violence."

The statement noted that "the problems and contradictions that appear from time to time come primarily from the forces and states usurping Kurdistan, especially Turkey which is trying by various means to spark strife among the Kurdish parties and forces, with the aim of undermining the Kurdish people's will for freedom and emancipation."

The parties of northern and eastern Syria appealed to "stop all media campaigns that fuel such a conflict, and return to the language of logic and reason, as nothing is impossible as long as the supreme national interest is placed above all else."

In response to the question raised at the conference, "What are your appeals to the Kurdistan Democratic Party which has not yet responded to the Kurdistan Community Union's call for dialogue?" The secretary of the Kurdish Left Party in Syria, Muhammad Musa, said: "We appeal to the two Kurdish parties to resort to the language of dialogue, as it is the basis of solution because the language of violence and murder will not solve the outstanding issues among the Kurdish troops."
