German police search and raid for suspected with Vienna “terrorist” attack

German police said on Friday, according to Reuters, that they were conducting searches in several German towns regarding four people believed to have links with the suspected Vienna attacker who killed four people when he opened fire on pedestrians and bars on Monday.

The German criminal police BKA said on Twitter that they are searching homes and companies in the towns of Osnabrück, Kassel, and in the Bienberg district near Hamburg.

The search warrants were obtained after the Austrian judiciary passed the information on to German prosecutors, the FBI said.

The Austrian authorities announced that a terrorist attack by an armed group took place in Vienne, which included 6 different locations near the largest synagogue in the city.

The authorities confirmed the killing of three civilians, two men and a woman, while the Mayor of Vienna, Mikhail Lyudvik, stated that the city's hospitals received more than 15 wounded people who were wounded by gunfire or clashes during the attack, including seven in critical condition.
