Today, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry announced his country's rejection of the expansion policy and creating tension by some parties, stressing that coordination is underway with the European side in the Eastern Mediterranean.

During a joint press conference with his Spanish counterpart in Cairo, Shoukry said that Egypt is coordinating with Spain to restore stability to the eastern Mediterranean region, which has witnessed an increase in tension recently.

He stressed that Cairo and Madrid confirmed their desire to strengthen cooperation and expand coordination in order to serve common interests and achieve stability.

On the Libyan issue, he said that instability in Libya is reflected in Egypt, adding that Cairo seeks to resolve this crisis in the neighboring country through dialogue.

He continued, "There are countries that transferred mercenaries and terrorists to Libya for expansionist reasons," stressing that "the foreign military presence in Libya has strengthened instability."
