1st founding conference of the Yezidi Union in Syria started

Under the slogan "With our unity Afrin and Serekaniye will be liberated," and in the presence of dozens of Yazidis in northern and eastern Syria, representatives of the Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern Syria, the Syrian Democratic Council, the Syrian Democratic Forces, the People's Protection Units, the Democratic Society Movement, and representatives of the Kurdish national unity parties and representatives of the Kurdish National Council, representatives of civil society institutions, and the democratic Islamic society, the work of the first founding conference of the Union of Yezidis in Syria began, in the Bailasan hall in Amuda district.

The founding conference of the Yazidi Union began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, followed by religious chants by the children of the Martyr Lava Jindo session.

Then the speech of the Undersecretary for External Relations of the House of the Yazidi Emirate, Prince Jahour Ali Bey, was presented through a recorded video, and the conference was held for all attendees and the Yazidis in Syria.

This was followed by a speech by the spokesman for the Syrian Yezidi Union, Suleiman Jaafar, and he said: “We are happy when we see you gather here to be witnesses to a historic event that happens for the first time among the Yazidis of Syria. We tried a lot to meet in order to put an end to the disasters that afflict us, and to agree on the unity of the Yazidi ranks, regardless of political and intellectual affiliations. "

In his speech, Jaafar touched on the stages the Yazidis went through before the revolution by organizing the youth and opening headquarters, and said: “We opened the first school to teach the Yazidi religion in Basufan village in Afrin region, and we held several conferences in Afrin, and with the formation of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, the Yazidis breathed a sigh of relief for the first time. Once in the history of Syria, we continued our activities until we were once again exposed to injustice and occupation by Turkey and its mercenaries at the beginning of 2018.

Jaafar confirmed that the Syrian Yezidi Federation will be a home for every Yezidi in Syria and the diaspora.

Jaafar denounced the plots and policies hatched against the Yazidi people in Sinjar, who offered more than 400 martyrs during ISIS mercenary attacks, to preserve his presence.

After that, a video was shown about the occupation of Afrin and Serekaniye by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, and Şengal during the attacks of ISIS mercenaries.
