Intensive isolation aims to target people who eager for freedom, peace

​​​​​​​A number of politicians and intellectuals in al-Shahba canton affirmed that the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan aims to undermine the will of the Kurdish people, and to eliminate the democratic nation’s project and the brotherhood of peoples in the region.

Turkish state continues to impose a policy of strict isolation on Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and prohibits meeting with him with three of his fellow detainees in Imrali prison, Omer Hayrî Konar, Hamîlî Yildirim and Weysî Aktaş

The co-chair of the Legislative Council in Afrin region, Suleiman Jaafar, affirmed that the goal of tightening isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan and a number of his political comrades in Imrali prison and preventing lawyers from meeting them is to undermine the will of the Kurdish people and isolate Kurdish people's leader from society.”

Jaafar noted, "The international conspiracy continues against the leader, because the leader, through his statements, called for a solution to the crisis afflicting the countries of the Middle East and the region."

Jaafar noted: “The authoritarian regimes and the countries dominating the world, led by Turkey, in order to ensure their interests at the expense of the vulnerable people of the region, refuse to end the conflicts, conflicts and fighting in the region, and they must continue to tighten isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan who is able to find solutions to these conflicts, so that they do not any directives from the leader Ocalan seep into his people or vice versa, and the leader's distancing from the Kurdish people and the elimination of the democratic nation project that embraces all components of the region.

For his part, the administrator of the Intellectuals Union in Afrin region, Muhammad Walid, denounced the Turkish state's policies against the leader Abdullah Ocalan and a number of his friends in Imrali.

Walid asserted: "The aim of this arbitrary ban on Leader Ocalan is to target the Kurdish people and all peoples calling for peace and freedom."

Walid noted: "Imrali prison is an international prisoner because, by an international conspiracy, the dominant powers in the region wanted to eliminate the project of the leader Ocalan and put him in a cell to liquidate the Kurdish people, and Walid considered that the Turkish state is a guard for the Imrali International prison."

At the end of his speech, Walid appealed to all human rights and humanitarian organizations and the United Nations to immediately intervene and reveal the health of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and to allow his lawyer and family to meet with him and check on his health and a number of his companions.
