The Libyan parties opened this afternoon the constitutional track session, which is being held under the auspices of the United Nations.

In a speech delivered during the session, the head of Egyptian General Intelligence, Major General Abbas Kamel stressed the importance of the solution in Libya being far from any external interference.

He stressed that any solution must be on a Libyan-Libyan basis, preserving the unity of the country, which has sank and is still in chaos since 2011, and made clear that the constitutional path calls for a comprehensive political solution.

It is planned that Cairo will host for a period of 3 days meetings that include representatives of the House of Representatives and the state in Libya, and members of the Constitutional Commission to discuss the constitutional path.
