HPG conduct qualitative operation against Turkish occupation's outpost in Colemêrg

The Media Center of the Kurdistan People's Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement to the public opinion about the recent military operations against the Turkish occupation.

The text of the statement read:

A military operation against the outpost of the Turkish occupation in Cile

Within the framework of the campaign of the martyrs Bager and Ronya, our forces carried out on the twenty-sixth of August, at exactly 7:30 in the morning, a military operation against the outpost of the Turkish occupation in Cile, in the state of Colemêrg. During the operation, our forces managed to direct painful strikes against the enemy's fortifications and positions inside the outpost. So far, the number of Turkish dead and wounded soldiers has not been confirmed during the operation.

The identity of the Guerrilla member who was martyred in Kato

In our statement issued on August 22, 2020, we announced that the Turkish occupation forces launched, on the seventeenth of this August, a military operation in Kato Marinos Square in Elky district in the state of Şirnex. During this process, violent clashes erupted between our forces on the one hand and the Turkish occupation army on the other hand. During the battle, our comrade Demhat was martyred, who resisted unrivaled valiantly and heroically.

Our companion, Demhat, was brought up in a patriotic family with a long history that resisted all attempts by the Turkish state to impose a process of cultural and social fusion. In 2016, Demhat joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement to resist the injustice of the Turkish occupation. In a short period of time, Demhat was able to complete all training at all military and political levels with complete success. Demhat was always determined to be on the first lines in the battles against the fascist Turkish occupation. In Kato Square, our comrade resisted against the Turkish occupation heroically and valiantly and fought until the last shot. After days of battles and resistance, our comrade rose to the rank of martyrs.

At the outset, we offer great condolences to the family of our heroic comrade Demhat, as we offer condolences to our resisting and patriotic people, and we pledge to continue on the path of the righteous martyrs until complete victory is achieved.

Air attacks

During the past days, Turkish occupation aircraft launched air strikes on the legitimate defense areas. On the twenty-fifth of this August and between two o'clock Kurdistan time and five o'clock in the afternoon, the occupation aircraft carried out strikes on Karkar Square in the Zap region.

Today, Thursday, August 27, 2020, at exactly nine o'clock in the morning, the occupation warplanes carried out raids on the Amadiya Hill Square in the Kurdish state of Dohuk, and later, at 12 o'clock Kurdistan time, the Turkish occupation warplanes carried out raids on the square of the village of Kisti in the area of ​​Matinayi.

On the eighteenth of this August, the Turkish occupation carried out air strikes on the small Chilo Square in the Zap region, in which our comrade Sinan was martyred. The identity of Martyr Sinan will be revealed in detail later.
