People forced to change their origins in occupied territories

Since its intervention in Syria, the Turkish occupation state has sought to occupy more Syrian lands, and the Turkish occupation policy is not limited to seizing territories, but rather, the national assimilation and demographic change polices are practiced against the peoples of the region.

While these policies continue at a high rate in the occupied Afrin regions, the condition of the rest of the regions is not better than the Al-Bab area.

Muhammad Omar, a displaced from the city of al-Bab, resides in al-Shahba canton, confirms that the conditions of the people in the areas occupied by Turkey are very poor. Moreover, the indigenous people suffer difficult conditions in terms of security and economics.

Omar says: Most of the indigenous people were displaced from their homes due to the violations of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries. Only the elderly remained in their villages.

Theft of civilian property ... and forcing them to change their origins

Omar pointed out that the violations affect all groups of society without discrimination, including killing, kidnapping and stealing civilian property and forcing civilians to abandon their assets in fear for their lives and the lives of their children.

He pointed out that the people of al-Bab villages, fear on their lives and the theft of their property by the mercenaries, issued a statement in which they claimed that they are of Turkmenistan origin.

Omar explained that through their contact with people in the occupied areas from Jarablus to Azaz and Afrin, the mercenaries, by direct order by the Turkish occupation, force civilians to sell their homes and agricultural lands at gunpoint, with the aim of displacing them and settling the mercenary families, in order to implement the process of changing the demographics.

He noted that most of the indigenous people in the occupied territories were forced to sell all their property and travel to European countries, while others were forced to forcibly leave their homes at gunpoint, and to tighten the screws on civilians to displace them from their homes.

They were formerly members in the ranks of ISIS ... today they joined of the Syrian National Army

Omar pointed out that the people who were formerly members of the terrorist ISIS are themselves committing crimes against citizens in the occupied areas, but under different names.

Omar says that women have the largest share of violations, as families are forced to marry off their minors, for fear of the Syrian National Army.

In terms of security, Omar says that the bombings continue almost daily, in addition to the fighting that takes place between the mercenary factions themselves due to the sharing of the stolen items.

Excessive high prices and forcing people to deal in Turkish currency

In terms of living conditions, he stated that the Turkish state forces people to deal in Turkish currency, in addition to changing the personal identity, and changing the names of villages and towns to Turkish names.

Omar noted that northwestern Syria is witnessing an exorbitant price increase as a result of imposing the Turkish currency on citizens and preventing the entry of Syrian goods into it, as the price of a bundle of bread in the occupied areas is 2000 Syrian pounds, and a barrel of diesel fuel reached 150 to 200 thousand Syrian pounds.

 Omar pointed out that civilians do not dare to carry money with them if they leave their homes, for fear of it being stolen by mercenaries and bandits.

At the end of his speech, Muhammad Omar appealed to international organizations and the United Nations to intervene to stop the Turkish state's violations of the rights of the Syrian citizens in the areas it occupies, and the return of all the displaced to their homes.
