For nearly a month, the Deir ez-Zor regions have been witnessing tensions, as a result of the assassinations of the elders of the clans, the most recent of which was the assassination of the Sheikh of the Al-Egeidat clan, Mutashar Al-Hafel.

Many parties are trying to undermine the stability and security of the region and exploit this incident to stir up discord between the people of the region and the Syrian Democratic Forces, but all of them failed. The sheikhs and notables of the various clans in the regions of north and east Syria confirmed their support for the SDF.

These assassinations were carried out by several sleeper cells and organizations affiliated with the Syrian government, as reported by those who were arrested, and others affiliated with the Turkish occupation for striking security, and inciting fighting between clans in northern and eastern Syria.

Assassinations targeted the stability of the region

The head of the Jabour clan's council in Syria, and spokesman in the city of Al-Hasakah, Fawaz al-Zaw’ba, explained in a statement to Hawar news agency that “the strife and assassinations that occurred in the past days in the city of Deir ez-Zor were nothing but to undermine the stability of the region and cause Arab-Kurdish fighting. The issue of assassinations and sowing seditions is not new in the regions of northeast Syria. "

These assassinations were not carried out randomly or irregularly, as Al-Zawb'a indicates, rather, they are the implementation of external agendas to sow discord, and he said, "Likewise, the Syrian government also has a role in this strife to destabilize the region's security."

Al-Zawb'a added: "The Syrian government did not use to recognize the Arab clans in the north and east of Syria. Now, it is trying to hit the security of the region instead of cooperating with the Autonomous Administration project and the democratic nation."

The regions of northeast Syria have achieved this status of stability and security thanks to their sons participation among the Syrian Democratic Forces, which are still defending the peoples of the region.

Beware and vigilant towards sedition

The head of the Jabour clans council in Syria pointed out that the Syrian territories belong to all Syrians, saying, “We do not demand division, but rather our rights within the regions of northeast of Syria, because the Autonomous Administration areas are the Syrian areas that have suffered most from terrorism and the Turkish occupation, and the best of their youth have martyred to defeat terrorism.

Al-Zawb'a called on the clans' members to beware and vigilant towards strife attempts by the Syrian government and its allies and the Turkey occupation.

The role of clans in putting down sedition

The head of the Jabour clan's council in Syria and its spokesperson, Fawaz al-Zawb'a, stated that the role of the clans at this stage is to educate clansmen and warn against this sedition, and to consolidate the principle of brotherhood of peoples and coexistence.

Today we are part of the Autonomous Administration, we must support it to get rid of strife and confusion. "
