Martyrs' families denounce Turkish attacks on martyrs' cemetery

Dozens of members of the Martyrs' Families Institutions and civil society organizations in the cities and districts of al-Jazeera region and al-Raqqa gathered in front of the Martyrs' Families Foundation and the martyrs' shrines to make a statement to the public opinion, denouncing the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on the martyrs' shrine in the occupied city of Serêkaniyê.

The Martyrs' Families statement said: "The Turkish fascism, led by AKP and MHP, and in front of the world's eyes violates all international decisions related to human rights and its material and moral values, using all dirty methods in the face of our people's aspirations for a homeland where everyone lives with its identity and dignity."

The statement continued: "We have not found in history a dirtier model than this fascist regime which has reached the point of attacking the shrines of the martyrs, as it did in several shrines in northern Kurdistan and in the wounded Afrin, and today it uses again these methods in Serêkaniyê, where it systematically sabotages the martyrs' cemeteries.

  It added: "We, thousands of martyrs' families in northern and eastern Syria; Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs and with us all the free and strugglers of our people, will work in various ways and with all our strength to confront the special war machine of the Turkish state and its mercenaries, and we will expose its dirty policies.

The statement made clear: "We are determined more than at any other historic stage to gain our decent position among the free peoples. We will remain in the squares and fields of struggle, old and young, our flags will remain raised, and the battle fronts will be supported by the best of our people until Serêkaniyê is liberated as well as the systematic demographic change is stopped, and our people return to their lands and homes, achieving a society free of terrorism and mercenaries, in which the human being has free will and dignity."
