A source from GNA told Al-Arabiya Net that an agreement has been reached between Turkey, Qatar and the Libyan Government of National Accord to grant the Syrian, Somali and Tunisian Mercenaries Libyan passports.

In the Tuesday meetings, the three teams agreed to integrate these mercenaries into GNA, under Turkish supervision and training, inside al-Wattiya base and at Tripoli International Airport, with Qatari financial support.

On Monday evening, sources reported that a Turkish-Qatari agreement had been signed with GNA to make the port of Misurata a naval base for Turkey in the Mediterranean, which would allow Ankara to deploy large and strong naval assets in the region, as part of its expansion plans in Libya and the consolidation of its military and commercial presence in the northern regions. Africa and the southern Mediterranean.

The tripartite agreement provides for the establishment of a tripartite military coordination center based in the city of Misurata, and for Doha to finance training centers and headquarters for GNA fighters.

This came during a visit by Qatari Defense Minister Khaled al-Attiyah and his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar to the capital, Tripoli, on Monday, and their meeting with officials of the Government of National Accord.
