A member of the Supreme Executive Committee of the Iraqi Journalists Union, Alaa al-Awad al-Azzawi, said during exclusive meeting with Hawar news agency ANHA that the General Command of the Iraqi Armed Forces, the Iraqi government and all popular and mass circles have condemned the blatant Turkish aggression inside the Iraqi territories under the pretext of pursuing the PKK, which resulted in the martyrdom of two of the best officers Iraqi border guards and wounding others, via a drone, despite the Turkish side's knowledge of the movements because they were inside Iraqi territory.

Al-Azzawi explained that the General Command of the Iraqi Armed Forces condemned this disgraceful act, through the words of its official spokesman, Major General Yahya Rasul, and the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the Turkish side of canceling the upcoming visit of the Turkish Defense Minister last Thursday, in protest against this disgraceful behavior that has nothing to do with international relations. And, at the very least, it is described as a blatant assault that did not abide by any sanctity of good neighborliness between Islamic countries.

Al-Azzawi pointed out that the Iraqi Journalists Union condemns in the strongest terms, the angry Iraqi masses, this blatant violation of all international norms and conventions, and calls on the Iraqi Prime Minister to take what is necessary to preserve Iraqi and Arab national sovereignty, and to retain the right to respond to such criminal attempts, because the martyrs Iraqis and commanding officers in the border guards, and this requires restoration.

In the same context Ph.D. Abdul Karim al-Wazzan, an Iraqi political analyst, said that the Turkish violations on the Iraqi borders, whether on land, sea or air, are considered a violation of Iraqi sovereignty, and lead to congestion and disagreements between the two countries, the last of which was the killing of an officer with the rank of brigade commander, and other officers. With advanced ranks at a border post on the common border with Turkey from the Nineveh Governorate side.

In a special statement to Hawar news agency ANHA, Al-Wazzan indicated that the Turkish violations have reached an extent that cannot be silent, pointing out that it reflects the weakness of Iraqi diplomacy and the political disintegration of the Iraqi diplomatic fabric that led to all these violations.

The Iraqi political analyst called for the necessity of a unified Arab position standing by Iraq against Turkish violations, pointing out that Erdogan's violations are not only directed against Iraq, but also against the Arab nation and the Arab world, pointing out that there should be a commitment to international conventions and respect for neighboring countries. Between them, he called on the Arab League to take a clear and stronger stance against the Turkish aggressions, which represent a flagrant violation of the entire Arab League.
