Kurdish intellectuals: Attacks target our existence, must solidarity to foiled it

The Kurdish reaction to the attack by the Turkish occupation state on the legitimate defense areas in south Kurdistan continues, along with the continued demonstrations and stances condemning this attack in Rojava, northern and eastern Syria.

Amid the voices of Kurdish intellectuals calling for strengthening the Kurdish unity, to stand in front of these attacks.

Member of the Intellectual Union of Kobani Anwar Mahmoud talked about the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on south Kurdistan, and said that "these attacks are not the result of the moment, since hundreds of years ago, the Kurdish people were annihilated by the Turks."

Anwar added, "It is not in the interest of Turkey for the unity of the Kurdish people, so it is intensifying its attacks on legitimate defense areas, and it hopes to break the back of the Kurds, and dispel the long-awaited efforts of unity."

In his turn, a member of Intellectuals Union of Kobani, Muhammad Muslim, believed that "the aim of the Turkish state since ancient times is to exterminate the Kurds and displace them from their land, it is targeting all dreamers to achieve freedom, so the attacks are not new. Turkey has been fighting the Kurds for a long time."

Muhammad Muslim noted that "the Kurds are the owners of this land, so why not let them live in peace on their land and speak their language."

Speaking of Kurdish unity and the need for the Kurdish parties to be responsible for the people's demands and standing up to the attacks of the enemies and thwarting them, the co-chair of the Intellectuals Union of Derik branch, Salha Qassim" said," "The agreement between the parties at this stage is a victory for our people, and requires everyone to be responsible for the people's demands, and to stay away from narrow party interest. "

While stressing that the success and victory of the Kurdish people depends on taking the path of thousands of martyrs who sacrificed their lives to achieve these gains.

Salha noted, "The unification of the Kurdish class, with one voice and one word, will have a stronger impact in international forums, and it will be able to communicate the voice of the Kurdish street and the peoples of the region in achieving their demands at this historical stage."

Meanwhile, Deirk Khalid Qassim, a member of Intellectuals Union, called for the necessity of uniting the political parties to see them in the crucial stage experienced by the Kurds, and he said, "The differences do not end easily, but the most important thing at this stage is to leave the narrow differences and partisan interests away, and work to secure the rights of the Kurdish people. Adding that all the massacres committed against the Kurdish people throughout history are due to their lack of unity.
