Today, the Manbij branch of the Future Syria Party organized a symposium entitled "Caesar Act and its Repercussions on the People" at the theater of the Culture and Art Center in Manbij. It was attended by hundreds of people from Manbij, representatives of the Democratic Civil Administration in Manbij and its countryside, and representatives of the parties in the city.

The symposium began with a minute of silence, followed by the speech of the Head of the Future Syria Party Ibrahim al-Kaftan who initiated it by introducing Caesar Act and its political and economic impact on Syria and the region.

During his speech, al-Kaftan pointed out that Caesar Act affects all Syrian lands despite its exception to the regions of northeastern Syria and the areas occupied by the Turkish occupation, but the vulnerability varies and is not alike, as he pointed out that Caesar affects several countries in the region such as Lebanon , Iraq, Jordan, Iran and Russia.

Al-Kaftan described the policy of the United States of America in applying the sanctions of Caesar Act to the Syrian government as economic assassination, and pointed out that America adopts that policy in its sanctions on many countries, and in the same context, he likened the sanctions of Caesar to the virus and the Syrian government has become a carrier of this virus to everyone deals with it, and that what expanded Caesar's influence.

In his turn, the activist and human rights researcher Abdel Rahman al-Batran talked about Caesar's Act from a legal point of view, as he indicated that the implementation of the Caesar Act sanctions is an important shift in America's policy towards the Syrian file, and Caesar is considered to be more severe than previous sanctions imposed on Syria.

He explained that the Caesar sanctions aimed at implementing Geneva Resolution 2254 which calls for the formation of a new constitution for Syria, the formation of a transitional government, and the holding of free and democratic elections, and pointed out that Caesar's decision excluded the Turkish occupation which committed war crimes in which it violated the international covenants and treaties.

Then the way for discussion opened to the participants who stressed the need to find a mechanism to protect the civilians in northern and eastern Syria from the repercussions of Caesar's Act, stressed that the position of states is still dominated by silence and fog in dealing with the Syrian file, and confirmed the importance of continuing the Syrian-Syrian dialogue because it is the way to resolve the issues peacefully and optimally.
