Satisfaction in Kurdish street for 1st stage success, demands to confront occupation

On June 16, 2020, the delegations of the National Unity Parties and the Kurdish National Council in Syria concluded the first phase of negotiations for the unity of the Kurdish ranks, as they reached a binding joint political vision and reached initial understandings that constitute a first and important step regarding the unity of the Kurdish ranks.

The two parties announced today in a joint statement reaching initial understandings, and considering the 2014 Duhok Agreement on governance and partnership in the administration, and protection and defense as a basis for continuing the ongoing dialogue and negotiations between the two delegations with a view towards signing a comprehensive agreement in the near future.

Hawar news agency (ANHA) monitored the views of al-Hasakah people about the success of the first phase of the unity. Naleen Mohammed said: "We bless the success of this stage for the Kurdish people and all the participating parties. The success of this stage will strengthen the bonds of the Kurdish people to overcome the enemies."

Naleen Mohammed indicated that the Turkish enemy has great concerns about the unity of the Kurdish rank "and that is why it is constantly trying to foil the unity of the Kurdish ranks through conspiracies and attacks launched on the border areas."

The Kurdish street set its hopes for achieving the unity of the Kurdish ranks to prove their existence and culture, and Naleen Mohammed described it as an "important step" to define the Kurdish people who were almost exterminated by the authoritarian states, and continued: "If this unity is achieved, the Kurdish people will have greater powers in making important and fateful decisions."

On his part, the citizen Abdel Qader Ferhan praised the importance of the success of the first phase of the negotiations for the Kurdish unity, and continued saying: "The political stage that the Kurdish people and the region are going through is very sensitive because the fascist Turkish state is expanding its colonization more in our regions, and therefore unity at this time is very important."

The citizen Ali Issa pointed out that the success of this stage and the joint statement left satisfaction to the Kurdish street because the first stage of the negotiations ended well.

Ali Issa appealed to all Kurdish parties to put political differences aside and stand up to the tyrannical occupation that is trying to destroy all groups of people in the north and east of Syria.
