Massive demonstration denounces Turkish aggression and commemorate martyr Engin

Hundreds of Dêrik residents and members of civil society institutions flocked to Azadi Square to participate in the demonstration organized by the Revolutionary Youth Union and the Young Women Union. The demonstrators chanted slogans that glorify and greet the martyrs, and denounce the brutality of the Turkish state in northeast of Syria And brutal bombing of populated villages in Başûr of Kurdistan and legitimate defense areas, and raising pictures of the martyrs of the Turkish bombing on the villages of Başûr of Kurdistan, pictures of the martyr Engin, and the RYU's flags.

Member of the Revolutionary Youth Union, Khamis al-Khidr made a speech in which he said: “We remember through the martyr, Engin all the martyrs of freedom, and pledge them to follow in their steps until the fulfillment of their dream that they were martyred for.”

 Al-Khader said: "The youth did not stop, and will escalate their struggle against Turkish fascism and its mercenaries in northeast of Syria until its liberation from their abomination. The attack of Turkish fascism is not only against the Kurdish people, but also targets the peoples and components of the region."

Al-Khidr concluded his speech by saying: "The Turkish occupation is targeting  repeatedly the northeast of Syria. this is an evidence of its failure to dismantle the ranks of the peoples of NE Syria, which was taken from the fraternity of peoples and coexistence as a basis for it."

Then the demonstration ended with mourning and slogans that glorify and greet the martyrs.
