Video .. Quantities of weapons, ammunition seized by fighters

On June 4^th, the Syrian Democratic Forces announced the campaign of “Deterring Terrorism” in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor and al-Hasakah against ISIS mercenaries’ cells.

The Syrian Democratic Forces announced today the end of the first phase of the campaign, in which the fighters seized large quantities of weapons and ammunition, in addition to arresting 110 terrorists of ISIS mercenaries and the suspected.

Our agency’s correspondents who are keeping up with the campaign arrived at one of the SDF’s headquarters in Deir ez-Zor countryside, in which a part of the weapons and ammunition seized was collected; individual weapons, explosive devices, and materials used in the manufacture of explosives.

Sasson Tolhildan, the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces said: “During the campaign of Deterring Terrorism, they managed to arrest dozens of cells of ISIS mercenaries.”

Tolhildan explained that they seized large quantities of weapons, ammunition and explosive materials that used to be used by the mercenaries in their attacks on the people in northern and eastern Syria, and continued: “These existing weapons and ammunition are part of those weapons, ammunition and explosives that have been seized, the bulk of them have been handed over to the relevant authorities earlier and those present here now will also be handed over to the competent authorities.”
