Muslim: Rapprochement to empower Kurds in resolving Syrian crisis

Today, the party held a meeting Dêrik in Qamishlo District,and was attended by dozens of families and members of civil institutions.

After a minute of silence, the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party, Anwar Muslim, talked about the conditions the region is going through in all respects, especially the repercussions of the Coronavirus, and the economic crisis as a result of the deterioration of the local currency against foreign currencies.
In his speech, Muslim touched on the efforts of the administration to hold several dialogues with the Syrian government with the aim of reaching a formula that guarantees the rights of all components, and noted that the Syrian government continued to adhere to the mentality of 2011 as it continued to focus on returning Syria to the hegemony of the central state authority without accepting to grant any freedoms to the peoples, he said: “However, the AA and the peoples of northeast of Syria will not accept these conditions because they do not bring any solution and achieve freedom and peace in Syria. People who made all these sacrifices and defeated ISIS, cannot accept a return to the domination of the central authority in Syria without giving any rights to this sacrificed people. "

On the economic situation in the region, Muslim noted: "The region is under an economic blockade, with the near implementation of Caesar's Act that will affect the region in general, and have repercussions on the people inevitably as they deal in the local pound, so everyone needs to support economic projects and depend on self-sufficiency to avoid the repercussions of this economic crisis. "

Muslim stressed that the phase requires joining the Autonomous Administration and political parties to avoid economic disasters.

As for the file of Kurdish rapprochement, Muslim indicated that the rapprochement between the Democratic Union Party and the Kurdish National Council was positive after the end of the first phase of the talks, adding that the two sides had the same political views on many points of interest to the Kurdish people.

Muslim said: "The rapprochement between the Kurdish parties does not mean the exclusion of the peoples of northern and eastern Syria. Rather, this rapprochement will have positive results in strengthening the bonds of rapprochement with the peoples and components of northern and eastern Syria that increase our strength in solving the Syrian crisis in general."

Muslim concluded his speech by stressing that the current phase requires uniting ranks to serve the peoples of northeast of Syria, and he said: “Because we have provided thousands of martyrs and wounded to secure a free and dignified life for all the peoples and components that live on this land that was irrigated with the blood of the martyrs. So, today we have to prove we fit for those sacrifices and solidarity and strive to preserve the gains of the martyrs and protect the peoples of the region from all threats. "
