With the start of the curfew in all areas of northern and eastern Syria announced by the Autonomous Administration in the context of precautionary measures to prevent the emergence of the Corona virus in the region, many citizens were forced to stop their daily work, which negatively affected their living conditions, especially the daily work laborers.

To help those needy people and those with low incomes, several community and institutional initiatives have emerged that included the distribution of foodstuffs and vegetables.

In this context, the Democratic Society Movement in al-Hasakah city initiated the distribution of 178 food parcels to the needy families and those with limited incomes in al-Hasakah and its countryside.

The administrator in the Democratic Society Movement's organizational office, Farhan Dawood, said that this is the first batch, and other batches will be distributed in the coming days.

Dawood pointed out that this initiative will include all families with limited incomes in al-Hasakah city, including al-Shaddadi, Arisha, Jabal Kazwan (Abdulaziz), Twaina and Tel Baidar regions, and the distribution will take place through the councils and communes of the region.
