TEV-DEM: Ocalan's heath status, political prisoners raises our doubts, concerns

On Monday, TEV-DEM issued a statement to public, about atrocities of Turkish occupation against political prisoners, in particular Ocalan's leader, after disclosing information that Coived -19 has spread in Turkish prisons, which raises concern about the health status of the leader.

The text of the statement read:

All world 's states are suffering from Covid-19 outbreak, several ways are being taken from those countries to fight this virus in general, and the camps and detention camps in particular, a lot of the countries work hard in the political detainees' file, freedom of opinion, and worked to release them or secure a quarantine for them in conjunction with visits by their lawyers and their families.  

The Turkish state also suffers from the pandemic, but it still adheres to its chauvinist and fascist methodology of the AKP-MHP coalition in its dealings with the file of political detainees and freedom of opinion without mercy and compassion, taking advantage of the preoccupation of the United Nations system and human rights and humanitarian institutions with the pandemic in the world facing the tragedies and suffering due to the lack of access to a treatment list or a vaccine.

After disclosing deaths and infections inside the Turkish prisons it was obvious the situation in Turkey is very dangerous on detentions' live, so the health status of leader Abdullah Ocalan in his prison on Imrali Island worries us a lot, and increases our doubts, that the chauvinistic Turkish state practices the most heinous crimes against all political detainees in particular leader 's Ocalan.

 The refusal of meetings and visits attracts our attention and the attention of the Kurdish community and all the free people in the world towards Imrali Island more than ever, especially as it carried out the most heinous, inhuman and immoral behavior when it sent the corpse of HPG' fighter to his mother in mail, in a behavior that denounces the forehead of humanity, these methods and violations by the chauvinistic Turkish state, by working outside  the law of the international community that is concerned with its societies as a result of the pandemic, indicates its fascist barbarism by planning again to strike the will of peoples struggling for freedom.

We in TEV -DEM appeal to all organizations with a human and human rights concern, especially the United Nations organizations, to draw attention to Turkish prisons, and to take responsibility for what the Turkish chauvinism practices against Imrali Island and political detainees.
