The number of virus victims rose to 165,396 infected, while 5,833 people died, and 73,968 recovered worldwide, according to the latest statistics.

Today, the National Health Committee of China said that the country recorded 20 new confirmed cases of coronavirus Saturday, up from 11 the previous day, and the figure raises the total number of confirmed cases so far to 80,844 people.

On Sunday, the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan announced that a citizen had been infected with the Corona virus after returning from France.

In Japan, the Radio and Television Corporation reported that the number of cases of Corona virus in Japan reached 1484 on Sunday, indicating that the number increased faster than the previous day.

On Saturday, Iran announced 97 new deaths from the new Corona virus, taking the death toll to 611 nationwide.

The Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that South Korea recorded 76 new cases of Coronavirus on Sunday, bringing the total number of infections inside the country to 8,162 people, including 75 deaths.

The Mexican Health Ministry said on Saturday that the number of Corona virus infections in Mexico had risen from 26 to 41.

On Saturday, the government of the Republic of the Congo said it had detected the first case of the Corona virus, of a man who had returned to the country from Paris on March 1.

In northern and eastern Syria, the administration decided to prevent gatherings, close border crossings, and closing the schools, institutes and universities, as a precautionary measure to stave off the threat of the Corona virus.

As part of these measures, the Health Body Al-Jazeera region declared a state of emergency within the regions of northeastern Syria, tightening sterilization and prevention procedures, and increasing the awareness campaign and centers for examining individuals, and the Culture Body in the Euphrates region issued a circular stopping the licensing of parties and technical events, in order to avoid the risk of the spread of the Corona virus.
