The Arab newspapers issued this morning dealt with the Syrian issue several issues, the most prominent of which was the situation in Idlib, and in this context, Al-Arab newspaper said: "Followers of the Syrian issue have played down the seriousness of the statements of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his threat to launch a military operation in the Idlib region northwest of Syria, Noting that the latter does not have a battle with Moscow over the Syrian issue at a time when Turkey's security priority has become focused on the "Kurdish threat".

On Friday, the Turkish President said that Turkey may launch a military operation in Idlib Governorate if the situation in the region is not resolved immediately.

Analysts say: Russia, besides its keenness on the importance of the Syrian government regaining Idlib, it takes into account the exhaustion of the jihadist reservoir of Turkey, as it constitutes an existential threat not only to its interests in the Arab region, where the two sides stand on opposite sides (for example, Syria and Libya), but also on its national security, as Ankara has always been active in backyards.

Observers believe that the tense Turkish position is due to concern that the Idlib process will go beyond control of strategic roads, and that Ankara will lose a jihadist tank that is betting on it in its expansionist operations in the Arab region, led by Libya.

Turkey has become in a weak position before Russia because of the ties that link the two countries in advanced and vital economic relations with regard to Ankara, especially since the passage of the Russian gas pipeline through Turkish lands as a way to reach Europe has made Turkey a host country for this geo-strategic shift.

For his part, a military source from inside Tripoli revealed to Al-Bayan that Accord Government had instructed Turkey to make military and security arrangements in Tripoli, and prepare to launch simultaneous attacks on the positions of the national army, with the participation of Syrian mercenaries and Turkish soldiers.

 The source, who declined to be identified, added that Accord Government took the war decision under pressure from Turkey and the Brotherhood, handed over the management of the battles to the Turkish officers and experts team stationed in Mitiga, and during the past days released hundreds of ISIS and al-Qaeda elements from their prisons after their commitment to fight against Libyan National Army.
