Trump: Our troops are ready for anything, we to impose sanctions on Iran

The US President Donald Trump affirmed that his country’s forces were ready for anything, called on the major powers to withdraw from what had remained of the nuclear deal, and threatened to impose sanctions on Iran.

Trump said in a speech, commenting on Iran's targeting of US bases in Iraq, “Our American forces are ready for anything and it appears that Iran has retreated.”

Trump stressed that there were no casualties among US soldiers during the Iranian attack.

He added, “The world countries tolerated Iran's destabilizing behavior in the world, and the time for this behavior is over. We killed the terrorist Qassem Soleimani who managed the attack on our base that led to the killing of an American contractor, and also he was whoever masterminded the attack on our embassy.”

Trump called on the major powers to withdraw from what had remained of the Iranian nuclear deal, announcing the imposition of more economic sanctions on Iran until modifying its behavior.

On the situation in the Middle East, Trump said, “I will ask NATO to play a greater role in the Middle East.”

He added, “We no longer need the petrol of the Middle East because we are the largest producer of petrol and gas in the world.”
