Sarah Rizgar is a 23-year-old, from the city of Afrin from the Arab tribe of Al-Omairat, who has mastered speaking the Kurdish language, to communicate and coexist with her Kurdish neighbors in the city of Afrin.

Sarah entered law faculty in Aleppo University, and there her thoughts became clearer about the contradictions that were on her mind, about justice and democracy between peoples, between truth and falsehood, and after hearing about the formation of Women's Protection Units, she joined it.

She went to Afrin, abandoned her studies at the University of Law, and joined the ranks of Women's Protection Units, during which she received several training courses on women's ideology, and there her interest in the field of war media in covering battles began, monitoring the reality of fighters and their resistance to immortalize it in the pages of history.

Sarah has been working as a member of the media center for Women's Protection Units, for four years in the city of Afrin, monitored the resistance of the people of her city against the mercenary attacks of Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham, and the attacks of the Turkish occupation on the city of Afrin in January 20, 2018.

Sarah played her role as a war correspondent and as a combatant in the Resistance of the Age, wandered on all fronts, monitored the resistance of fighters and people, and documented in her camera the crimes of the Turkish occupation, the resistance of the fighters.

After Turkey occupied the city of Afrin, after a resistance that lasted for 58 days on March 18 of the same year, Sarah went to al-Jazeera region, and continued to document violations and practices of the Turkish occupation in the areas it occupies.

In the attacks of the Turkish occupation on the cities of Girê spi / Tel Abyad and Sri Sri / Ras al-Ain on October 9, 2019, her determination to monitor the resistance of fighters and the people in the areas under attack increased.

Sarah Rizgar says that her goal now is to monitor the resistance of Syrian Democratic Forces’ fighters in northern and eastern Syria in the face of Turkish aggression.” I was determined to go to all fronts that resist against Turkish aggression, to monitor violations and crimes of the Turkish occupation against the region.

Sarah noted that she clearly witnesses fighters’ readiness to sacrifice everything they have for their land, in order to protect their land and liberate the occupied areas, so she considers it necessary to immortalize everything that now happens in the pages of history for future generations to know how the resistance was against the second largest army in NATO.

Sarah Rizgar is now monitoring the morale of the fighters on the fronts, in the vicinity of Ain Issa district, and the violations of the Turkish occupation in Girê Spi / Tel Abyad.
