AA approved supporting 4 vital sectors to serve region’s people

During its first annual meeting, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria stressed the need to continue and intensify the Syrian-Syrian dialogue to solve the Syrian crisis, and approved the support of four vital sectors during 2020 that had a return and productive projects serving the people of north and east Syria.

The Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria held its first annual meeting, during which it discussed the political and social situations, the most important productive and service projects and the achievements made by the Administration in addition to setting future plans and service projects for the people of the region.

The meeting was attended by the Joint Presidency of the Executive Council Berivan Khaled and Abed Hamed al-Muhbash and their representatives, in addition to the co-chairs of the bodies and offices of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

The meeting started with holding a minute of silence, followed by evaluating the political situation by the participants over an entire year, and the most important changes during it, especially the wide openness to the Autonomous Administration by the Western countries during the past year, which indicated the importance and success of the Autonomous Administration project.

During the assessment of the situation, the participants referred to the negotiations that took place with the Syrian regime and did not reach tangible results until now as a result of the regime's intransigence and its desire to return matters to what they were before the crisis, and its attempt to obtain gains.

The attendees also praised the sacrifices and steadfastness of the people of northern and eastern Syria against the Turkish aggression that occupied a part of the Syrian lands and displaced its people. They also indicated that the resistance was the only option to take out the occupier.

They stressed the necessity of continuing the resistance, activating the Syrian-Syrian dialogue as a way to get out of the crisis, and the necessity of activating the meetings between the Autonomous Administration and the people of north and east Syria through the mass forums.

On the regional and international side, the attendees touched upon the situations in Lebanon, Turkey's interference in Libya and the dispatch of its mercenaries there, and the tensions between the major counties after the killing of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ commander Qassem Soleimani.

The participants formed a committee to study and evaluate the annual reports received from the bodies and offices of the Autonomous Administration, including the most important achievements made, the difficulties and obstacles facing the work of each committee, and the work on resolving them.

The attendees gave the agriculture, health, services, and education sectors an important support in terms of providing the Autonomous Administration with productive projects serving the people of the north and east of Syria, in addition to providing security and stability in the areas of the Autonomous Administration.

During the meeting, they discussed the difficulties and problems that faced the work of the Autonomous Administration’s bodies and offices, and the work to avoid them in the future.

It is worth noting that the annual meeting of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria came after several meetings held by the presidency body with the seven departments, and after holding the seven departments their annual meetings to discuss their production projects, problems and proposals.

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is scheduled to hold its annual conference during the next few days, during which it will present its most important work and successes, and disclose its most important plans for the new year 2020.
