Manbij people hosting hundreds of displaced families by Turkish offensive.

Manbij people are hosting hundreds of displaced families from SerE Kania and Til Abyad areas, which are under the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, but returning home remains the basic need for the displaced.

The Turkish offensive in north eastern Syria displaced hundreds of thousands civilians from the occupied areas of Sere Kania and Til Abyad, a large proportion settled in Al- Hasaka city and the northern countryside of Raqqa.

In Manbij town, which does not have any camps for the displaced , the residents of the city have not hesitated to welcome some 380 families from the occupied Sere Kania and Til Abyad.

"good people gave us a house "

Salma Abdul Qadir , 45 years old. one of Sere Kania displaced . she said ": we arrived in Manbij without any shelter but the good people gave us a house."

The three-children mother Salma says:" we went out of our house as the result of the Turkish occupation offensive."

The displaced went on saying :" the shelling that affected us didn’t have mercy on the young or the elder; it was a random barbaric shelling targeting us wherever we were whether in our houses or in the open. We lived untold days, bitter and harsh days , the Turkish occupation bombed our homes, attacked us fiercely, we were attacked in our safe homes , and forcibly displaced

"'They are monsters'

Salma recounts the abuses of Turkey's mercenary groups she has seen :" The Syrian National Army was stealing and looting, we were going out of our homes as they were stealing, they stole and burned all the houses, they were monsters, they killed whoever in their way without mercy and pity." "We went out into the open next to our city waiting for our unknown destiny and where it will lead us? We didn’t have any means of transportation so I went with my family members and neighbors looking backward at our house."

"committed many genocides"

Aisha Osman Ibrahim ,38 married and a mother of four girls and a boy from Til Akhdar village linked to the occupied Gire Spi / Til Abyad said :" we don’t forget October 9^th. It is a day etched in our memories, we don’t forget the Turkish occupation bombardment over our heads and children."

She added " many genocides were committed during that time . many of the displaced families were victimized under the nose of the international silence."

Concerning the journey of the forced exit, she said :" we went out into the western nearby villages to Til Abyad such as jilaba and kobrak. We were moving in seek of safety in a dark night. We were surrounded by shelling and fear from far and wide."

At the start of our march" the weather was warm suitable for living in the open, but with the coming of the winter , the situation got worse. We didn’t go to the camps. But chose coming to Manbij city, our relatives provided us with this room. We stay in it with my family hoping our cities to be liberated and go back to them."
