Regime advancing in Idlib countryside at mercenaries’ expense

Clashes continue at a high pace between Turkey-backed mercenaries, regime forces and militants on axes in Idlib eastern and southeastern countryside.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored new progress by the regime forces north of Ferwan, which represented control of the village of Samakah and Jedaida Nawaf area​​, while the regime forces continued their rocket shelling on the area, targeting sites in Deir al-Gharbi, Deir al-Sharqi, and Ma’arat al-Numan, al-Zalanah, Ma’arshamsha, Ma’arshemarin, Telmans, al-Ghadfah, Babolin, Masaran, Tel Kersiyan, and Kweires, Tel Khatrah and Abo Jarif.

With the progress made by the regime forces, the number of villages that have been controlled by the regime forces since the start of the military operation on Thursday evening, December 19^th, has increased to 45 areas.

In the same context, a military convoy of the Turkish occupation has penetrated into the Syrian territories through the Keferlossin crossing in Idlib northern countryside. The convoy consisting of at least 85 vehicles headed towards the Turkish point in Al Ais, south of Aleppo, and another section headed towards Al Rashideen in the western suburbs of Aleppo.
