The talk of the Kurdish tribal elders coincided with intensive meetings among the Kurdish political parties, within the framework of the efforts that aim at achieving national unity in order to represent the political visions of the Kurds in international forums, at a time when the regions of northern and eastern Syria are witnessing a Turkish invasion.

Ezzeddin Oskley, a notable of the Kitkan clan, one of the largest Kurdish clans deployed in Kobanê canton, made clear, “The alliance of the Syrian components in light of a democratic political project witnessed in the region for the first time and the respect for good neighborliness for years were the priority of the clans deployed in the region, but Turkey did not respected that and committed massacres, displacing the Syrians and occupying their lands.”

Oskley said that the Kurdish people, whom Ankara accused of being terrorist, their history’s roots were deeper than those accusations and the Turkish state sordid ideology, stressing that the Kurds were not the same as before, as they participated forces of tribesmen of all components in north and east Syria that could respond to the Turkish attacks.

Within the framework of the Kurdish unity, Ezzeddin Oskley called on the Kurdish parties and personalities abroad to realize the extent of the great danger towards the Kurdish people threatened with extermination, and to return to activate dialogue internally to avoid the Turkish allegations of the public opinion about the division of the Kurds.

In the midst of the voices calling for the unity of the Kurdish rank, a number of Kurdish parties, and national and independent personalities met on December 11 in the first political forum of its kind in Kobanê, to which the Intellectuals Union was called in light of the Turkish attacks, and they discussed the ways to achieve the national unity among the Kurdish politic forces.

For his part, Hanif Ismat, the member of the Senate and the notable of the Bishalti clan deployed in Kobanê, said that there was a difference between the results issued by the Kurdish alliance with all their political parties, and other results issued by the division of those political forces, considering that uniting the Kurdish efforts would make the Kurdish position more stronger against the external attacks, even if war imposed on the Kurds.

Hanif also pointed to the need to be cautious about the seditions that the Turkish state inflicted between the Kurdish and Arab tribes coexisting in peace and security for centuries in the north and east of Syria, considering that the project of coexistence of components and their formation of their Civil and Autonomous Administration and their defense military forces were considered a nightmare for Turkey.
